Simon Cheeseman is an experienced Marine Engineer having worked in both the commercial and public sectors.
Simon joined the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult, the UK’s flagship technology innovation and research centre for offshore wind, wave and tidal energy, in February 2014.
Working within the Catapult’s Research and Disruptive Innovation division Simon is responsible for managing the Catapult’s marine renewables strategy, identifying the wave & tidal technology innovation priorities for the Catapult and managing the Catapult’s regional engagement programme.
Simon was previously with the Energy Technologies Institute where he was their marine programme manager responsible for a range of high profile wave & tidal development projects.
Simon came to the ETI having managed a wide range of marine maintenance and engineering contracts.
In his earlier career, Simon held various programme manager roles and was responsible for a range of high value aerospace and communications technology development contracts.
