In 2016 the exhibition welcomed over 200 brands, participating from over 25 countries, providing a gateway to the commercial marine market in Asia, with numerous opportunities to access new markets.

Many successful business meetings took place at the exhibition in 2016 including an agreement between Seawork Asia exhibitors ODC Marine and Scania Sales (China) Co. Ltd for delivery of 4 Scania DI 700 HP Diesel Engines.

Michael Geng, Marine Engines Sales Manager, Scania Sales (China) commented:

"This is our second time exhibiting at Seawork Asia and we will definitely be coming back for the 3rd! This has quickly become an important tradeshow for us and gives equipment providers like us a great opportunity to meet industry users face to face and showcase our latest technologies and product range."

Actisense, who offer a range of marine electronic products returned to the UK after successfully concluding a partnership agreement with leading Chinese product distributor, Shanghai Ocean Equipment Company.

Danny Thrasher, Head of Sales and Operations at Actisense, commented: We took the plunge to expand our trade into this new territory and are really pleased with the outcome. We are looking forward to growing our brand name in this new market and work with Mr Ye and his team at Shanghai Ocean Equipment Company."

Marine Data displayed some of their new products at the Exhibition in addition to their renowned traditional compass card repeaters, with Tim Ingram, CEO of Marine Data Systems commenting:

"Seawork Asia proved to be a very successful event for us with several orders taken at the show and a healthy pipeline of leads to follow through on. Well organised from beginning to end. We look forward to returning to Seawork Asia in 2018."
