Sponsors fuel delegates

Three key sponsors are ensuring that the delegates attending the unique commercial marine event, Speed@Seawork will be well fuelled for a working day on the water.

The networking welcome breakfast on Sea Trials day, Monday 10 June, is sponsored by OSI Maritime Systems. The company is a leading provider of integrated navigation and tactical solutions designed for naval and maritime security operations.

David Pollitt, from OSI Maritime Systems says, “Following the success of the inaugural Speed@Seawork event in 2018, we feel this is the ideal showcase to demonstrate our highly acclaimed navigation solutions for military, border, coastguard and police forces using Open or Closed-Cockpit craft”.

After enjoying some fast pace demonstrations on the water delegates will head back to Cowes Yacht Haven where they will enjoy a lunch sponsored by BAE Systems. It offers an opportunity for delegates to network and hear keynote presentations from leading authorities in the world of fast vessels, fast personnel transfers and chase boat operators.

BAE Systems has just delivered its sixtieth high-speed Pacific 24 MkIV Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) to the Ministry of Defence at Portsmouth Naval Base UK.  It was due to be the last of a £13.5million order to supply the craft to the Royal Navy for use across the fleet but they’ve proved so effective in service that the MOD has ordered an additional four.

Sea Trials day will finish with networking drinks and canapes, sponsored by Ocean Safety. The company specialise in the worldwide supply, distribution, service & hire of marine safety equipment including liferafts, lifejackets, pyrotechnics, man overboard equipment & EPIRBs.

Ocean Safety Managing Director Alistair Hackett says, "Ocean Safety is delighted to be an official sponsor of the Speed@Seawork conference and look forward to showcasing our range of marine safety equipment with the aim of ensuring that knowledge or product and its use is developed.”
