2020 Fast Ops and Sea Trials
Fast vessels operating at high speed for security interventions and SAR (Search And Rescue) are a significant specialist sector of the commercial marine business. Held as part of Seawork itself, the third edition of Speed@Seawork will take place on Monday 8 June 2020 in Cowes IOW, UK.
Sea trials, to be coordinated from the event base in Cowes, will see a flotilla of craft take to the variable waters and conditions of the Solent. Tactical water craft, bespoke RIBs and other vessels modified to handle the demanding environments of military and commercial operations will be on demonstration duties.
Speed 2020 vision.
Delegates can expect to access sector-specific companies throughout the day and, proving popular in 2019, the Sea Trial programme will also feature pertinent key note speeches from Procurement and MOD personnel onboard the ‘Ocean Scene’, with the first presentations over breakfast sponsored by OSI Maritime.
The lunch time session will feature a panel of experts in the Fast Ops field. Following lunch sponsored by BAE Systems, topics under discussion will be Future Fit Procurement and Refit, People and Procurement.
There will also be a short reflection on the life of Fabio Buzzi 1943-2019 – founder and owner of Italian FB Design. “There’s a continuous fight - you always have to accept a compromise between a beautiful, fast line and efficiency from the engineering point of view; bring those together and you’re winning.”
There are a number of cost-effective options to get involved with Speed@Seawork as an exhibitor such as bringing a vessel, having a pop-up banner at Cowes Yacht Haven at the Sea Trials or simply coming along as a delegate. Sponsorship opportunities are another way to get involved - to speak to one of the team, just call +44 1329 825335 or book direct online here
