After a successful first day, Seawork International has reopened today for day two of the exhibition.

 Seawork’s opening day provided an extensive mix of launches, announcements, conference sessions and networking. 

 The exhibition was officially opened by the Commandant General of Bolivia, who is representing one of several naval attaches, keen to explore business opportunities with Seawork exhibitors. 

The Innovations Showcase displayed 50 equipment and vessels which have come to market during the past 12 months, which were submitted to the new European Commercial Marine Awards. Winners of the Safety & Training Category at the European Commercial Marine Awards, Nigel Parkes, Survitec Design Manager comments, “We are delighted to be awarded an Innovation Award. Driving innovation forward to make lifejacket use in all environments as safe as possible is at the heart of everything we do.

 Some of the many events occurring throughout Wednesday include: On the water, South Boats & Iceni Services have an important announcement at VB25, Meercat Workboats is holding a naming ceremony for the Meercat 15 along with ABP Southampton at berth VA54A. 

In the halls, Tidal Anchors will be holding a demonstration of the setting and operation of a unique, patented, omni-directional anchor, on stand SB24. Maretron LLP is launching its new Maretron Telemetric Cloud Service at PB97.

 In-water demonstrations are being provided by Tideman Boats BV are demonstrating the durable new Tideman Boat at VA03, and in the on-water demo zone, Landau UK is holding a live demonstration of the new SeaBob vessel. Networking events include The British Marine Federation is hosting a drinks event at PY135, which is open to all, as it Survitec’s drinks event at PO51.

All day demonstrations will also be taking place across the halls and at the Dive Tank, including: Stainless Finishing Solutions’ live demonstrations of the latest in Stainless Steel Weld Cleaning, Polishing and Marking technology at A79 and at Torqueedo’s stand PO63, where it will display its innovative range of electric motors. 

The Conference will deliver a thought-provoking agenda brought by key industry spokespeople, with numerous sessions, including: the implications of leaving the EU, and Towage – reducing the risk and raising the standards.
