UK Defence Equipment Plan published

The Ministry of Defence has published the Defence Equipment Plan for 2018. The plan presents the British Government’s plans to deliver the equipment needed by its Armed Forces to “defend our country and keep our people safe”.

The Plan involves spending over £186bn on equipment and support over the decade from 1 April 2018 to 31 March 2028. For the first time it sets out the plan’s strategic context and presents, in detail, the Department’s assessment of affordability.

The Defence Equipment and Support division of the Ministry of Defence will present its latest procurement requirements at Seawork 2019.
