A platform for all seasons...
Marine South East will be hosting a workshop to introduce the concept of Multi-Use Platforms at Seas, (MUPS), exploring their potential uses and the business opportunities for the supply and value chains.
Current potential uses for MUPS include wind, wave and current renewable energy, aquaculture, port facilities and security but there are many more, and they have the potential to generate significant new global business opportunities.
Topics to be covered include the technical and economic feasibility of large floating offshore platforms that can support multiple marine energy devices and other competing revenue generating activities.
The workshop is a must for any companies involved with design and engineering; production and fabrication; Installation and decommissioning; operation and maintenance; equipment supply; sensing and remote monitoring systems and ICT infrastructure.
Hosted by Marine South East under the auspices of ENTROPI and OPEC, European funded projects looking at Multi-Use Platforms at sea, the workshop will take place in Seawork Knighthood Conference Room 2 at 10am on Wednesday 4th July 2018. To register your place please go to the link:
