In Numbers: Seawork 2017 at Mayflower park
For the second consecutive year, Seawork returned to Mayflower Park, Southampton, with four colossal Jumbo Exhibition Halls constructed by De Boer as well as the purpose-built pontoons constructed by Walcon Marine displaying over seventy vessels.
Welcoming over 600 exhibitors and 7,600 marine professionals from across Europe and rest of the world, Seawork International 2017 was hailed a resounding success featuring over seventy vessels and 10,000 products and services displayed across the three days in June, seeing an increase from the 2016 show, requiring De Boer to enlarge the main exhibition halls.
Fay Reeve, Seawork exhibition manager, commented: “This year has been our most successful since the show’s inception in 1998. Overall we had 610 different exhibitors and over 7,600 visitors and De Boer played a central role in creating a world-class venue fit for the international marine industry.”
With Seawork displaying more products than ever, De Boer’s four Jumbo Halls made up the two main exhibition hall areas; the Atlantic and Pacific Halls, which used a reinforced flooring system allowing them to withstand the weight of the largest marine exhibits – such as the REINT JES marine gearbox weighing up to three tonnes.
Seawork International will again be returning to Mayflower Park from the 3rd-5th July 2018, contact the Seawork events team at firstname.lastname@example.org to enquire about exhibiting and the 21st anniversary of Seawork, which promises to be bigger and better than ever.
