Business done at Seawork and M&CCE Expo
This year’s Seawork and M&CCE Expo were buzzing with business.
A packed programme of launches resulted in widespread “serious discussions” and, more significantly, contracts being signed.
Dutch-based Damen Anchor & Chain Factory (AKF) announced a joint partnership agreement with Fendercare giving its clients improved availability of anchors, chains and chain fittings, shorter lead times and improved earning potential.
UK and Ireland OXE distributor, Proteum signed a contract with Shetland-based Flugga Boats for nine OXE 150hp diesel outboard engines.
On its Hybrid Pilot launch Wight Shipyard’s Peter Morton commented, “We’ve been really encouraged by the interest here and what we’re doing.”
Alan Goodchild, Managing Director, Goodchild Marine announced “We’ve just secured a contract with Estuary Services for their second 136 pilot boat and signed a contract with new client Bridgewater for a ORC 121 Fast Patrol Craft”.
News came from Kort Propulsion of a new contract with Shipbuilding Asia UK and Blyth Catamarans chose Seawork to launch a new 15m Passenger Vessel, immediately receiving interest in further builds.
Finally, as we go to print, news that Marine Specialised Technology (“MST”), signed a contract this morning with its Japanese Agent, URA, for 36 workboats.
