Seawork gives Blyth dive boat a chance to shine

Blyth Workcats, which will have a vessel on the Seawork 2014 pontoons, manufactures tough GRP catamaran workboats used by professional seafarers for a variety of demanding applications in sizes ranging from 10 to 20 metres.

Blyth reports that it has found Seawork to be the best event for reaching the widest range of potential buyers and pays particular attention to deciding which market sector to address, when choosing a suitable boat to represent the Blyth Workcats range on the busy Seawork pontoons.

At Seawork 2013, it was decided to highlight a lesser known specialism by exhibiting a new dive boat. The workcat Blyth presented had been designed to be used by commercial dive centres in tropical waters. It featured an 11-metre hull built for high speed transits to dive sites with accommodation that would keep paying guests comfortable during the voyage.

Shortly after the exhibition, it became apparent that the choice of vessel was fully justified, as it led to a significant number of enquiries, one of which ultimately resulted in an order for another 11-metre dive boat from a customer who had seen the Seawork exhibit.

With a 17-metre berth already booked for 2014 Seawork, visitors can expect to see another top of the range Blyth Workcat occupying it. It is too early for the company to decide which of its market sectors will be represented by the vessel but, whether it is surveying or deep sea angling, the Workcat will be a tough, seaworthy craft that is sure to find potential buyers among the ever growing numbers of visitors to Seawork.
