Particle Pal’s Innovation Awards fuel enquiries

A truly innovative, ground-breaking product A truly innovative, ground-breaking product

Richard Price, MD of Seawork Innovation Awards winner, Filtertechnik, comments: “The team is extremely proud to have won but two awards at Seawork 2013. To win the prestigious Spirit of Innovation Trophy was a huge honour and re-confirms our commitment to producing innovative, market-changing products.”

The Particle Pal is a portable analyser for determining the cleanliness levels of fuels and oils. It was designed to help field engineers and lab technicians quickly determine the health of oils and fuels. The unit uses the latest laser counting technology to accurately count particles not visible to the naked eye. As a result, engineers no longer need to send samples away to a laboratory for results which often take 2 weeks or more. The ability to quickly determine the health of oils and fuels can help avoid catastrophic breakdowns.

The Particle Pal is unique in many aspects: its portability, ease of use and adaptability across oils and fuels make it a valuable addition to the field engineer’s tool kit.

Filtertechnik claims that the Particle Pal is the most cost-effective cleanliness monitor on the market today, without compromising the high quality laser counter at the heart of the unit. Engineers at Filtertechnik spent two years developing the technology used in the Particle Pal to ensure that the monitor would be highly accurate but also low cost and portable. It is less than half the price of the next leading product, handles a far wider range of fluid types and viscosities and the battery life is eight hours.

Filtertechnik is promoting the Seawork Innovation Award win on all its literature to create further interest by presenting the Particle Pal as a truly innovative, ground-breaking product.

Mr Price continues: “The PR team at Seawork has been very proactive in promoting the win through its communication channels which has resulted in numerous enquiries from the UK and overseas. The win has encouraged us to expand our product range to cement our role as the leading innovator in the oil and fuel filtration markets.”
