Landmark year for Seawork and its exhibitors
2017 marks the 20th anniversary for Seawork, as well as many of its exhibitors who are also celebrating landmark occasions. These include Jotron AS, Damen, Maritime Services International, Maritime Journal and EP Barrus.
Since 1967 Jotron AS has been a leading manufacturer of professional communication systems for land, sea and air safety, enhancing safety communication.
Offering Maritime safety and search & rescue communication equipment, internal communication systems, safety communication systems for maritime and offshore applications, shore to ship communication products and systems, ATC ground to air radio communication products/systems for civil aviation & military use as well as recording and replay systems Jotron AS technology is now in use all over the world.

Marking its 90th year, Damen’s vessel designs have successfully served customers operating all over the world since its creation in the 1920s. From small beginnings to the global company it is today Damen currently operates 33 shipbuilding and repair yards, employing 9,000 people worldwide and delivering more than 6,000 vessels in over 100 countries.
Offering a wide range of products, including tugs, workboats, naval and patrol vessels, high speed craft, cargo vessels, dredgers, vessels for the offshore industry, ferries, pontoons and superyachts Damen is know for providing a high-quality service.
Chairman Kommer Damen added ‘I am honoured to celebrate 90 years of Damen. What started as a small team, has grown into a global company. And yet – we have achieved this while still retaining our family values.’

Maritime Services International
Marking its 25th anniversary this year Maritime Services International was formed in 1992 by Managing Director Ian Biles. Growing from a one man enterprise to now, a group with global reach, the company offers marine surveying, consultancy, investigation, legal support and training across the maritime industry.
Completing over 3500 surveys the company have built a global network of over 100 marine surveyors in 34 countries and earned a fantastic reputation for both quality and experience. With the Maritime Training Academy now boasting a total of 34 distance learning courses and diplomas in a vast array of maritime specialisms.

Since 1987, Maritime Journal has been the respected, trusted news source dedicated to the European Commercial Marine Business market. Celebrating its 30th Birthday this year Maritime Journal is known for providing the most up to date and industry led news which readers can rely on, as well as providing ample advertising opportunities which clients have trusted to deliver their marketing message. Maritime Journal will be in the Atlantic Hall at Seawork 2017, so make sure you visit the MJ lounge to meet the team.
Celebrating its 100th year in business and a 20th successive year at Seawork; Barrus will be showcasing an array of products. On display will be Mariner and Yanmar engines, including mariner 2-stroke commercial outboards, Mercury’s range including its new 115 Pro XS FourStroke outboard, the 90hp Sea Pro, 3.0 litre commercial engine as well as the new Yanmar D-Torque 111 diesel outboard.
Mark Coleman, General Manager for the Special Products Division, E. P. Barrus Ltd commented, “Seawork is the one event in the year that we get the time to spend with our commercial customers in the fishing industry, professional rescue services, government organisations and the UK military.
He continues, “In addition, it provides us with the perfect arena to show case our latest marine products and accessories both on our stand on the quayside and on the pontoons.”
Barrus will also be supplying engines fitted to several boats displayed on the pontoons at Seawork. So make sure you visit the team at the main stand on the Quayside, stand Q17.
