Ramco showcase ex-MoD RHIBs
Ramco, one of the UK’s largest outlets for quality, used equipment, will be showcasing a selection of Pacific 22 rigid hulled inflatable boats (RHIB’s) at Seawork.
The vessels, manufactured in the UK by Halmatic and designed to withstand the toughest of sea conditions, were deployed by the MoD for a diverse range of operations all around the world including logistics, counter piracy/narcotics, defence and rescue missions.
The Pacific 22 RHIB’s became surplus to requirement when the MoD replaced them with newer models as part of a recent equipment update initiative; implemented to ensure that equipment meets the expanding demands of the MoD’s military operations.
Ramco’s solution provides the MoD with a compliant and cost-effective service that extends the product lifecycle of equipment, reduces waste and promotes the reuse of surplus assets in a sustainable and eco-friendly manner. It also allows buyers within the commercial marine and workboat markets to purchase competitively priced, quality vessels from a credible, military provenance.
Ramco undertakes a thorough refurbishment of each vessel although the surplus vessels have been well maintained during their deployment and are already in great condition.
