Berthon at Speed@ and Seawork

UK marine company, Berthon will be exhibiting at both Seawork and Speed@Seawork.

Berthon, a family business, has been trading continuously from a riverside site in Lymington, on the UK’s South coast since 1877.

Berthon has been busy expanding its services and its presence at both Seawork and Speed@Seawork will reflect this.

Berthon recently became the sole UK & Ireland dealer for South African Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) builder Gemini Marine and its range of military, rescue, commercial and leisure RIBs. Berthon will be holding a stock of new RIBs and spare parts at its 10 acre (46,000m2) modern boatyard.

As an experienced military, RNLI and commercial sector contractor Berthon’s clients can have their Gemini RIBs upgraded and equipped to meet individual technical and operational requirements, as well as being able to provide outstanding proven servicing and technical support packages.

Berthon also represents British marine diesel innovator Cox Powertrain. Berthon is the sole UK and Ireland distributor for its high powered, low weight diesel outboard engines and will be bringing both brands to Speed@Seawork with Gemini RIB’s in action and Cox Powertrain’s latest revolutionary diesel engine, the Cox CXO300, which is the world’s first 300hp diesel outbound engine.

In December 2018 Lymington Marina Ltd, a subsidiary company of Berthon Boat Co Ltd, also acquired Marine IP Ltd, which trades under the name of VersaDock, a worldwide leader in modular docks and floating pontoons

Brian May, Managing Director of Berthon and Lymington Marina added: “I look forward to further developing this well known brand with Jamie Hooper and his VersaDock team. This is a good addition to our expanding product range, which includes dealerships for Iguana amphibious boats, Pearl motor yachts, Gemini RIBs and Cox diesel outboard motors.”.
