Well known for their aluminum and GRP catamarans that are used extensively throughout the offshore workboat sector, South Boats IOW and Alicat Workboats are both specialist providers of bespoke marine & engineering services.
The companies have vessel construction and maintenance facilities in both Cowes, Isle of Wight (South Coast UK) and Great Yarmouth, Norfolk (East Coast UK).
Alicat Workboats
Alicat Workboats
have enjoyed recent successes including;
Following a partnership formed at Seawork Internation last year, Alicat secured a contract with a partially public-funded organisation to supply a purpose designed dive support vessel. A challenging project with budget and timeline constraints of just 12 weeks induced a decision to refit an existing vessel. The project encompassed Alicat’s wide range of services including design, contract management, build, boat delivery and supply chain management.
Following a Carbon Trust Back Fender Development, an Alicat VGRIP™ fender is now fitted to two UK based Crew Transfer vessels. With both operators concluding that the VGRIP™ fender provides a significantly improved tower performance than the equivalent vessel operating without the specialised fender. TheVGRIP™ Fender will be on display at the Carbon Trust stand PB19.

painting, engineering and outfit works.
