Alicat Workboats & Iceni Services celebrate handover
Alicat Workboats handed over their 10th vessel built for Iceni Marine Services, the 23m Iceni Legend.
It was designed to meet the requirements of Iceni Marine Services further developed from their previous vessels for work on an offshore windfarm.
Richard Thurlow, Iceni Marine Services, commented, “Iceni Legend forms part of a two boat order with Alicat Workboats, with Iceni Defender being delivered last year. We have further developed the wheelhouse on this vessel to suit Operations and Maintenance projects and for more crew comfort. We were keen to get this boat to Seawork as it is different to previous to anything we have had built before. We hope that operators have liked what they have seen on this boat here at the show and we hope to have news on a new contract for this vessel in the next month.”
Ben Colman, Alicat Workboats added, “This is the third year running that Iceni have brought a boat to the show and it we have a fantastic relationship and partnership with them and look forward to working with Iceni on future projects. As Iceni look to develop their fleet they will sell off some of their older assets, with 1 potentially being sold here at Seawork, with a view to a re-fit taking place at South Boats in the future.”
