ADEC equipped ‘Merlin’ at Seawork
The newly equipped 'Merlin', an 8m multi role RIB with mission configurable layout, will be on show at this year's Seawork Exhibition at berth V50.
The new MST 800 SEABOAT is owned and operated by the Sussex Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority(SIFCA) and was designed and built by Marine Specialised Technology.
It has been fitted out as a patrol and enforcement craft by UK marine safety specialist, ADEC Marine, and features inboard diesel water jet propulsion and an aft helm position for four crew on height adjustable, shock mitigation seating.
Merlin, which is capable of reaching 36 knots, carries the full range of Code of Practice safety equipment and has been equipped with pyrotechnics, first aid kits, lifejacket lights, lifebuoys and lights. ADEC has also serviced inflatable lifejackets.
SIFCA is responsible for the management of marine fisheries and conservation in an area of over 500 square miles of Sussex coastal waters.
