Walcon builds platform for success
Walcon Marine (www.walconmarine.com) is a world leader in the design and construction of marinas and pontoons for both leisure and working vessels.
The company has won contracts all over the world but, closer to home, it builds, each year, the pontoons that accommodate the floating exhibits at Seawork. This year Walcon built the largest Seawork marina ever - measuring 253 metres in length – to cope with the increasing size of the craft exhibited.
“Seawork is unmissable for anyone active in the workboat sector,” said Clive Kemp, Walcon’s commercial director. “This was our 14th year at the exhibition and, as always, it was a valuable networking opportunity. This year, our stand gave us the opportunity to showcase details of our latest projects, along with the Walcon Wizard, our unique piling rig that has just undergone a complete repaint to celebrate its eighth birthday. Of course, the marina itself shows the quality and durability of our products in action, as they provide a safe environment for some really quite sizable vessels over the three-day event.”
