Seawork International 2017 will host the inaugural European Commercial Marine Awards, which incorporates previous prestigious awards including the Innovations Awards and Maritime Person of the Year.

As well as the Sustainability, and the Lifetime Achievement awards.

Held at the spectacular Golden Arrow Restaurant which overlooks the Seawork Marina in Mayflower Park, the European Commercial Marine Awards (ECMA) is an important part of the Seawork experience.

Jointly hosted by Seawork and Maritime Journal, both of which are celebrating 20 and 30 respectively, the event attractsmore than 350 guests, this ticket-only annual event showcases the pioneers and achievers in the commercial marine sector, and also enables attendees to network with other key and likeminded professionals in a relaxed environment, Previously the Awards were known as the Innovations Awards, which last year saw winners who included, John Haynes of Shock Mitigation as Maritime Personality of the Year, CWind, winner of the Maritime Sustainability Award,  and the overall winner of the Innovation Showcase, DuoDrive.  

Speaking of his success, DuoDrive’s Director, John Carter, commented, “Winning the award at Seawork was the start of something incredible. As first time exhibitors, too, we are utterly delighted with the industry’s response to this product that we have been working on for many years.”

The new format for the ECMA awards is set to embrace all aspects of the buoyant and innovative European commercial marine sector. Servogear and Scana Elmar joint sponsors of the awards reception welcome.

The Innovation Showcase, which will be located in the Atlantic Hall, will also once again return to the exhibition, offering a great opportunity to encourage, reward and gain recognition for the outstanding work that businesses and individuals are achieving within the commercial marine and workboat sector. Entry to the Innovations Showcase is free of charge and open to any Seawork exhibitor which has brought a product of service to market within the past year.
