The Quayside Dive Tank allows exhibitors to demonstrate their underwater equipment
Seawork covers every aspect of the commercial marine sector, from Ship Building and Repair to Commercial Diving and Hydraulics – and each industry sector is supported by the relevant trade association.
Specially created for the commercial and military diving sectors, DiveWork is supported by the Association of Diving Contractors and Underwater Contractor International. Some 40 exhibitors are expected in 2008 - Divex, Ruco, Miko Marine, Kaymac, Hunter Diving, the Professional Diving Academy and Hydrospace have been amongst the first to book. All DiveWork exhibitors can demonstrate their products free of charge within a quayside dive tank which is supplied by Searchwise Ltd. The Dive Tank is also the location for the ADC DiveWork Challenge which was won in 2007 by James Burns of Edwards Diving Services. The ADC will once again be holding an all day seminar at Seawork 2008, which will include workshops and training sessions.
RIBWork is a marketing platform created for companies or individuals who work within the commercial RIB sector. It is designed for those who manufacture and supply boats and equipment for RIB operations. The Seawork pontoons will feature the latest in RIB design and build with more than 20 RIBs amongst the 60 vessels on the water. There is a 'Rib Trail', which helps visitors fast-track their way to stands and berths of interest and a number of seminars covering RIBS and small commercial vessels under 12 metres.
Meet the MoD
Seawork provides unique opportunities for exhibitors to meet personnel from the Ministry of Defence who are responsible for purchasing boats, engines and machinery, salvage, diving and life-saving equipment and a host of other products which are required for defence and security. At Seawork 2007, David Gould, Chief Operating Officer for the MoD's Defence Equipment Support Organisation, gave a keynote presentation on 'How to do business with the MoD' and Captain Stephen Taylor, Seawork's Military and Public Sector Advisor, facilitated 32 meetings between Seawork exhibitors and the appropriate MoD representative. Many companies in the commercial marine sector have been able to develop effective business relationships with the MOD and other government agencies as a result. Stephen Taylor will be co-ordinating the timetable and scheduling the meetings again at Seawork 2008. If military and defence are important target markets for you, find out more about exhibiting by contacting the Seawork team on +44 (0)1329 820485.
