South Boats handover 19M Catamaran
The hand-over of a 19m WFSV to Off Shore Wind Services BV took place at Seawork yesterday.
Ben Colman, South Boats’ Technical Director explained the extensive discussions that led to the development of this versatile vessel: “At 21m overall, it can carry up to 16 tonnes of cargo, operate up to 150 miles offshore and can carry up to 12 passengers and three crew. In addition, it can be used for transferring up to seven tonnes of fuel to offshore structures. A soft-mounted passenger saloon increases passenger comfort and reduces noise.”
Jan Dirk, MD of Workships and Royal Doeksen, parent company of Off Shore Wind Services, said he was impressed with the new addition to their fleet. Mr Dirk concluded by saying, “Seawork is a great place to meet potential clients and partners.”
