Seawork will celebrate its 20th year in 2017

Plans for Seawork International 2017 are already well underway, with the Seawork team devising exciting enhancements to further develop the exhibition, in time for its 20th anniversary.

Seawork 2017 will celebrate the twentieth consecutive year of the exhibition, which has always been held in Southampton, and was founded by owners and organisers, Mercator Media.

Seawork International 2017 will herald the second year in its new and permanent venue at Mayflower Park. The highly successful move to the prestigious Mayflower Park venue enabled Seawork to grow both on the land and water, which it will continue to do so next year.

Longstanding and new exhibitors all welcomed the new format of exhibition halls, built by De Boer, as well as the Seawork Marina, which will be further enhanced at next year’s exhibition.

First to sign up for Seawork International 2017 is Delta Power Group delivering the forefront of composite RIB design. The popularity of Delta is driven by its core principles of strength, seaworthiness and longevity.

In addition, for many years Seawork has welcomed inward international delegations from a diverse range of countries, all of whom attend to explore far-reaching procurement opportunities worth many £millions. VIPs attended Seawork from China, Bahamas, USA, New Zealand, Italy and Brazil. Seawork 2017 will be no exception, with over seven delegations anticipated to attend this landmark event.

New topics will be headlining the ever-popular, and free-to-attend, Seawork Conference in 2017. Featured in this year’s seminars, which were sponsored by Knighthood, were a range of interesting and inspiring topical sessions, delivered by BAE Systems, Government Grant & Tax Consultants, and the Maritime & Coastguard Agency, amongst others. Topics included ‘The Changing Face of Search & Rescue’, ‘Show Me the Money – Government Funding’, ‘Autonomous Surface Vessels as Workboats’, ‘Hybrid Power and the Hour of Power for workboats and patrol vessels’ and ‘Innovations for fast craft systems and training’.
