Ocean Safety at Seawork 2012
Kannad Marine R10 Survival Recovering System from Ocean Safety
Ocean Safety, the UK’s largest independent marine safety equipment supplier, will again be showing a full range of safety equipment at Seawork in 2012.
This includes the Kannad Marine R10 SRS (Survival Recovering System). This Man Overboard recovery unit R10 works by sending out a structured alert message, GPS position and a special identity code directly which will be picked up by AIS receivers within a four mile radius. The data and position are very accurate because of the R10’s high precision GPS receiver. Sales of the R10 have grown since its launch and this is still bound to be a star product in 2012.
Also likely to be highlighted at Seawork in 2012 is the new Falcon MED lifejacket, which can optionally be supplied with the R10 SRS attached. The twin chamber lifejacket is approved to SOLAS MED Ship’s Wheel and manufactured under an accredited BVQI ISO 9001 quality system. The Falcon is a heavy-duty high buoyancy lifejacket especially suited to hazardous working conditions where heavy workwear or a work belt and equipment maybe used and provides 350N of buoyancy from both or either chamber.
