The awards ceremony is held on site at Seawork in the spectacular waterfront glass restaurant, overlooking the Seawork Marina in Mayflower Park. An important part of the annual Seawork show, the ECMAs attract over 400 attendees including exhibitors and their guests.

This prestigious event provides great opportunities for networking, making it a 'must do' social event in the diary for all Seawork exhibitors.

The Awards
The awards take place early on the opening evening of Seawork.  Following welcoming drinks and canapes, the first part of the evening sees the presentation of the coveted Innovation Showcase Awards with the overall winner being presented with the Spirit of Innovation award.

The second part of the evening moves in to the European Commercial Marine awards themselves with the presentation of the following awards:

  • ECM Maritime Best Project Award

A new award category for 2018, presented to a company or organisation operating within the commercial marine and workboat sector, for challenges in marine civils or vessel operations.

  • ECM Maritime Sustainability Award

Awarded to a company or organisation operating within the commercial marine and workboat sector, which demonstrates outstanding focus in its environmental and sustainability efforts.

The ECMA jury makes the final decision from nominations received for these two awards.

  • ECM Maritime Professional of the Year Award

This award celebrates exemplary individuals within the commercial maritime sector. Anyone can be nominated as long as they work for a Seawork Exhibitor.

All that is required are 200 words detailing why you think the nominee is worthy of the award, plus a picture of them.

The award is voted on by the public.

  • ECM Lifetime Achievement Award

The award is presented to an individual operating within the commercial marine and workboat sector, who throughout their career has shown outstanding work and focus.

A closely guarded secret – the award is announced and presented on the evening of the awards.
