ASL GRP to exhibit at Seawork for the first time

ASL GRP tailor-made protection kit

Air Sea Land (ASL) GRP offers a wide range of ballistic protection solutions for naval and marine vessels. Using its knowledge in high-strength, lightweight materials, the group offers ballistic and blast protection solutions for all areas of a vessel, large or small.

"We are looking forward to attending our first Seawork as exhibitors, and we believe our product range is unique to the show. What we offer at ASL - bespoke ballistic protection - can be applied to various areas of the marine industry. For Naval and crew boats we can design, manufacture and supply appliqué armour kits or moulded armour systems. For RIBS or fast patrol vessels we can offer protection for consoles, RIB tubes and provide engine covers. Our products benefit the military and Police, but equally those working or visiting potentially hostile environments, offering peace of mind and that extra level of safety.” stated Katie Przygonski, ASL GRP.

ASL GRP offers complete project management for design, manufacturing and integration of armour protection solutions on different seafaring platforms and provides tailor-made protection kits for your vessel, high speed marine craft or RIB.  Full threat assessments and performance requirements are always taken into account when designing a protection package. ASL supplies appliqué armour kits to protect vessels in hostile situations.

The company manufactures and supplies pre-engineered kits, as well as bespoke kits (which can be appliqué or moulded armour) to provide RIBs and fast patrol vessels protection in high risk areas. Using lightweight materials, the kits are able to protect the vessel without affecting top speeds and performance.

Commonly protected areas include:

  • Consoles
  • Crew area
  • Engine covers
  • RIB tubes
  • Wheel house and bridge deck
  • Engine room
  • On-board armouries
  • Safe rooms
