Damen vessel fitted with triple UltraJets
UltraJet waterjets were chosen to deliver the high thrust performance required
The new 23.9m fire fighting/police patrol vessel Bremen 1 from Damen, featuring Ultrajet waterjets from Ultra Dynamics, has been handed over to its new owner.
New owner is the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen and it will be used jointly by police and fire departments.
The vessel can reach speeds of 40 km/hr with its triple Caterpillar engines driving triple UltraJet High Thrust Waterjets via ZF500 gearboxes. UltraJet waterjets were chosen to deliver the high thrust performance required during fire fighting operations and for towing purposes.
The UltraJet Electro-hydraulic system gives total control of thrust vectoring throughout the vessel’s speed range, as well as giving the boat excellent manoeuvrability during operations. More information at Seawork at stand A1or at www.ultradynamics.com.
