CTruk 20m SWATH to provide crew transfer services

CTruk's third 20m SWATH forms an integral part of CWind's three year contract worth £5.5m to provide crew and equipment transfer for DONG Energy and Scottish Power at the West of Duddon Sands offshore wind farm. The contract includes an optional extension for a further two year period.

CTruk 20T MPC 'Lieutenant P' is the first of four CWind vessels to serve at West of Duddon Sands offshore wind farm this year and is already working on site. She is one of three composite 20Ts scheduled to work on site, which later this year, will be joined by the newest addition to the fleet CWind Fulmar, the third 20m SWATH designed and built by CTruk for maximum comfort crew transfers in heavy seas.

West of Duddon Sands’ Head of Operations for DONG Energy, Steve Clarke, explained their procurement choice, “Combining excellent vessel capabilities and cost-effectiveness with a very good health and safety track record, in a competitive tender process, CWind was able to demonstrate that it was the right partner for this project.”
