Finning UK

Sponsors of the MOD Boat Users Working Group Committee Meeting and Luncheon

Finning is one of the UK's leading marine engine providers and is considered a key supplier of Caterpillar power systems and service support to the British Armed Forces.

At Seawork 2008, Finning will promote the worldwide Caterpillar support network, designed to deliver on-board maintenance and emergency repair services both in the UK and overseas. Finning will also showcase the range of Caterpillar propulsion and auxiliary power engines available for military and naval applications, including the Cat, MaK and Perkins-Sabre brands.

Finning is renowned for its professional service capability, with locally-based service engineers offering support across the UK, from installation, to commissioning, to emergency repairs and preventative maintenance. As part of the the global Caterpillar dealership family, Finning can also support the vessel as it sails in overseas territories, by engaging the services of any local Caterpillar dealer across the world. For the ship's maintenance crew, this provides service continuity, technical support and rapid parts delivery from a trusted supplier whenever the ship comes in to port.

Finning is a total solutions provider that specifies, commissions and maintains a wide range of marine power systems, including full propulsion packages, generator sets and auxiliary engines.

Included in the range are high-speed CAT engines offering simple operation and improved vessel manoeuvrability. Finning also sells and supports the popular MaK brand; very successful in larger vessels with a lower engine speed that provides a long service life, as well as the range of Perkins diesel propulsion and auxiliary engines.

Power ratings range from kW to 16,kW and all engines are designed to provide rugged reliability and low cost of ownership.

As at last year's show, Finning will also be sponsoring the MoD luncheon taking place in the pavilion and supporting a number of seminars.
