Solent Education Business Partnership works closely with the Seawork team to facilitate bringing year 9 and 10 students to the Seawork exhibition to find out about career and training opportunities in the Commercial Marine sector.

In addition to this, members of the Seawork team contribute to various events throughout the year to help the students understand more about the media industry.

In October 2010, Fay Reeve (Operations Manager) and Lorraine Curtis (Exhibition Sales Executive) will be attending a careers event at Henry Beaufort School in Winchester. This event gives students the opportunity to research and investigate the variety of job roles and levels within the diploma industry sectors including highly qualified jobs and also those at trade, practitioner level or where no specific qualifications are required the employee has an opportunity to work their way up. Students, in groups of approximately 5-8 individuals, will be able to meet with 5 different employers, colleges and universities for approx 15-20 minutes to find out about job roles within the various sectors.

Mercator Media (Seawork) will be representing the Creative and Media sector.

In November 2010, members of the Seawork team attended the Solent Skills Quest event held at the City Cruise Terminal in ABP Port of Southampton.
