Since steel is being phased out, lightweight, low-maintenance plastic alternatives, foam elastomer has long been the preferred material to replace steel within the offshore sector.
Although usually more robust than other plastics, they are often initially more expensive. However, since budgets do sometimes dictate that 'the lowest ticket price wins', Hippo Marine has launched this range of low-cost navigation buoys to be sold at a competitive price.
