A Simpler, Cleaner and Dryer Shaft Installation

A bolt-on shaft system from Seatorque, shown at Seawork by H4 Marine, answers many of the problems associated with assembling and aligning a traditional open shaft system, as well as offering a number of other benefits.
Reduced maintenance and simple installation from the Seatorque shaft.
Beyond a simpler, cleaner and dryer installation, it also eliminates vibration and noise from the shaft system and can be easily fitted to existing hull designs with minor modifications.
On top of which, the system enhances performance (typically by around 8%), and since the shaft is running in oil, instead of unfiltered water, sand and silt, the unit also reduces bearing and shaft wear, which again means reduced maintenance.
The inventor is flying specially to explain increased efficiency offered by the system in the current climate of rising costs. He will be available after Seawork closes to visit yards and operators during a tour of Europe.Images for this article - click to enlarge
