Seawork innovations find their market
08 Jul 2008
A range of newbuilds may take advantage of a innovation brought to Seawork by H4 Marine. The Boss system is an efficient, integrally-pumped oil-lubricated shaft from Seatorque, which has received several serious enquiries from the show.
H4 Marine is now in detailed discussions with the Port of London Authority and Alnmaritec about using the stern gear system in the PLA's new low emission catamaran being designed for harbour patrol and pilotage work.
H4 Marine also had very strong interest in the quicKutter rope cutters from Stena Line, ABP Southampton, The Cattewater Harbour Comission and Littlehampton Harbour board. Thanks to Seawork this new design of cutter can now be found on Royal Navy survey vessels, ferries, fishing boats and superyachts from Egypt to Scotland.
