Director, Shane Carr, enthused: “Wow, we were exhausted. For three days the most time any of the staff got a break from the stand was for about 10 minutes.

The volume of interest was tremendous. Our only problem since has been dealing with the number of enquiries. We have contacted almost all the enquiries since but have to apologise to those we have not yet had a chance to speak to. One project alone, which we are to start fabricating in October, is for almost £2m.

Interestingly, we have also had requests from two other pontoon manufacturers to work alongside them on  projects where some of the yachts are too large for their existing product range.

The Marine Designs ‘Dockmaster’ concrete pontoon is ideal for them in both size and cost. Another interesting development is two requests for a licence to produce the ‘Dockmaster’ pontoon in other countries.

We are still pondering that one, as we do not want the quality of our product to be compromised. We will most definitely book a place at Seawork 2007 and already have a great idea for a very eye catching stand.”
