GRC to show semi-SWATH workboat concept

GRC was founded in 1989 to distribute and support Naval Architectural software originating from the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) and its agencies. The primary purpose was to enhance and make commercially available a £60m MoD development of warship and submarine design and analysis software package.

GRC has since developed its own Naval Architecture software, Paramarine, which it markets in the UK and Overseas. Paramarine is a unique blend of innovative object-oriented software, which couples a powerful 3D solid modeller with Naval Architecture and military analyses.

Recently GRC has been seeking ways in which to provide the same capabilities offered to Navies to the commercial sector. GRC are looking to develop an advanced Semi-SWATH workboat by utilising the design capabilities of Paramarine and the ideas of South Boats. GRC intend to show a developed concept of this advanced workboat at Seawork 2006.
