Mojo puts Waves to Work
01 May 2005
Cornwall-based Mojo Maritime has recently been contracted by client Fugro-Geos to install a wave measurement buoy 12 miles off the coast near St Ives.
The Wave Hub is seen onboard Mojo Maritime’s support vessel Portree II’.
The area is being investigated by the South West Regional Development Agency as the possible site for Wave Hub, a connection point out at sea into which developers can plug their generators.
The Wave Hub would play a crucial role in helping to develop the UK renewable energy sector. Early indications of the efficiency of the installation will be featured on Mojo Maritime’s stand at Seawork 2005 International.
