News about Seawork 2005

Join The Ribtrail

This prime sector of Seawork International 2006 is sure to benefit builders, suppliers and operators of rigid inflatable boats which have truly become the world’s maritime workhorses.

Emphasising the importance of this industry sector, a high visibility RIBTRAIL will link the inflatables on the pontoons with relevant quayside and interior exhibits. The aim is to provide an easy to follow shopping experience which covers not only the craft themselves but all other related products – engines, transmissions, electronics, safety and security, down to the very last operational and functional detail.

Over 20 examples of the newest and most innovative RIB’s were featured on the Seawork 2005 pontoons. Business was brisk with first timers Rib-X receiving a substantial contract in the show’s first hour. Jack Barclay of Unst Inshore Services comments:

“Our trip from Unst in Shetland to Seawork needed a bit of careful planning but, as a result of being at the exhibition, we now have 11 very positive contacts to follow up and one confirmed order. Seawork was definitely the show for us. Having the boat on the water made all the difference. We are definitely coming back in 2006.”
