Pepe Boats and TT Boat Designs launch Catfish
01 May 2004
Because the hulls are not symmetrical, water is forced to roll back into itself, creating a soft, cushioned ride. Full depth keels offer excellent directional stability in both short and steep swell conditions.
Cruising speeds of 18-22 knots, with sprint speeds in excess of 26 knots, the typical engine horsepower requirements will be 15-20% lower than that of a similar-sized monohull.
Two CatFish 38s are to be used as commercial potting and netting boats on the south coast – these particular models have been specifically designed to comply with the ‘Under 10 metre’ Code of Practice and will be issued with 100-VCU licences.
