Despite June’s unseasonable gale force winds and rain, this was a clear demonstration that the commercial maritime exhibition and conference held in the Port of Southampton is strengthening its position in the world market.

World’s Marine Press Visit seawork

Gala Dinner Success for RNLI

St Mary’s Stadium was, once again, filled to capacity with more than 500 Seawork exhibitors and their guests coming together for a relaxed evening of entertainment and networking opportunities. Annual Event premières New Products

A significant number of Seawork2004 exhibitors selected the event to première new products. Among them was Scania (Great Britain) Ltd. Unveiling Scania’s new 12 litre engine on the quayside, Senior Vice President and Head of Industrial and Marine Engines at Scania, Lennart Hjelte commented: ‘We started planning the launch of our new engine around Seawork about two years ago. It’s the natural place for us to unveil it because the UK is a very important market for our commercial engines and our UK customers are all here.’
