Nuttall has decided to support Seawork again this year after an absence of three years. According to Peter Bishop from Nuttall; “The key reason for exhibiting at Seawork 2007 was the opportunity of sponsoring the Port Engineers’ Luncheon. Port Engineers are the key decision makers within the maritime civil engineering industry and we look forward to meeting as many of them as possible during the event”.

Miko Marine Supply French Navy

Miko Marine AS have signed a contract to supply the French Navy with Emergency Repair kits. The patented magnetic patches “Miko Plaster”, increase the chances of preventing a total loss or large oil-spill and are approved by Classification Societies such as Det Norske Veritas (DNV) and Germanischer Lloyd (GL). The delivery, for more than 250 French Navy vessels, will be made over the next two and a half years.

Poltech Services – back again with 2 vessels!

Poltech Services will be exhibiting two “Catapult 396” 12.1 metre catamarans at Seawork 2007. Valkyrie and Miss Behaving are both fast, well equipped, high specification fit-out charter angling vessels with island wheelhouses and excellent fuel economy.

Full Speed Ahead for Anytec at Seawork 2007!

Through their UK agents, Wave Seven Marine Ltd, Anytec Marine AB of Sweden have been successfully exhibiting their semi-submersible Boat Lift, known as Sublift for a few years. In 2007 Anytec will have a 12T Sublift operating on the quayside but will also be demonstrating one of their fast aluminium boats - model 622 SP. Anytec have delayed introducing their boats to the UK market until now because sales have been so good in the Baltic states that there has been no spare capacity.

Cheetah Marine build boat for Saudi Port Authority

At Cheetah Marine five catamarans are in build including a 7.9m survey boat for Saudi Ports Authority. Using the extended wheelhouse, the specification is very high and includes a moonpool, multibeam, RTK Positioning System and an ROV. A 7.9m version with a less detailed specification is underway for Bangor University.

Cleemann Displays the latest ‘Seatnology’ at Seawork

German based seating specialist Cleemann Chair-Systems GmbH will prove its ‘Seatnology’ once again by bringing the latest developments in high speed and shock tested chairs to Southampton. Delivered to the German Bundesmarine and installed on five newbuild Corvettes, their chair model ‘Nautic Star’ successfully absorbed a force of 120g during an official navy department test. This means any crew member sitting in the chair is protected from the effects of water bomb blasts underneath the ship.

Macduff Ship Design – back for the fourth time at Seawork 2007!

Macduff Ship Design will be exhibiting a scale model of a 13m tug, under construction for Peterhead Port Authority, which will be the first tug to be purpose designed and equipped with the Mampaey Dynamic Oval Towing system.
