Seawork Marina Achieves Objective
01 Sep 2005
The new marina format was introduced in 2005 and both exhibitors and visitors were pleased with the result. The extended pontoon, working from one central access point, allowed greater footfall on the waterside and encouraged more demonstrations.
Pepe Boatyard Ltd – “We received orders valued at £0.5 million at Seawork 2004. We believe that 2005 will generate as much again.”
Comprising more than 60 vessels ranging from surveillance to survey boats, fishing boats to ferries, pilot boats to personnel carriers, and rescue craft to tugs, the greatest ever assembly of specialist working craft was achieved. Seawork International 2006 will provide an even greater showcase of the newest and most innovative working craft.
The Seawork pontoons are limited in size because of other pressures on the ABP Port of Southampton and the demand for space is high.
