News about Seawork 2006

Seawork grows by another 15%

Now in its 9th year, Seawork International is maintaining its pattern of growth with several new developments in 2006. Following the success of DiveWork and the Rib Trail, Seawork 2006 International introduces the Fluid Power Pavilion, supported by the British Fluid Power Association, and the Ship Building & Ship Repair Pavilion, in association with the SSA.

The Fluid Power Pavilion is being put together with the help and support of Ian Morris, director of the BFPA. Ian endorses Seawork as ‘a significant vertical exhibition for companies who want to break into or increase the volume of work that they do within the commercial marine sector.’ Twelve companies have already committed to exhibiting within the Pavilion and the list just keeps on growing.

Tom Dougherty, Director of the Ship Builders’& Ship Repairers’Association, enthuses, "Seawork covers almost every aspect of the marine industry and therefore attracts a wide range of visitors who come to have a look at the latest technology, products and services on offer and to network - it features prominently in our calendar. We are delighted this year to be hosting the Ship Building  & Ship Repair Pavilion and hope to contribute to its ongoing success,”

Special, discounted rates are available to members of the SSA and BFPA wishing to exhibit but the pavilions are open to all companies.

Reflecting Seawork’s increasingly international status, the Italian Exhibition Service has agreed to promote the Italian Pavilion, providing facilities for Italian companies working in the commercial marine industry.

All three new features and initiatives have already attracted significant exhibitors and promise to attract new visitors to Seawork in 2006.
