Seawork focuses on fluid power

Certex’s origins are from world renowned wire rope manufacturer Bridon, following a management buyout from FKI plc.

Some twelve months on, Certex UK provides a complete range of lifting products and services to a diverse range of markets including ports and shipping, construction, crane hire, offshore, mining, manufacturing, the steel industry and general engineering.

The company has 15 locations throughout the  UK with a workforce of 150 and supplies quality brands including Bridon Wire Rope, Kuplex Chain  Sling Systems, Crosby Fittings, IP Lifting Clamps, Viking Webbing & Roundslings and Elephant Chain Hoists. In total, Certex supply over 50,000 lifting products providing solutions for virtually any application. Its network of Lifting Centres offers a national service to local customers who have specific local needs.

Many of these centres, such as Southampton, Tyneside and Cardiff, are located close to shipping areas and major ports. Certex clients include Port of Felixstowe and Associated British Ports.
