Volvo Penta D16 launches at Seawork With the assistance of electronics and state-of-the- art technology, Volvo Penta now has a marine diesel engine with outstanding torque and more than 150hp in output than its predecessor, with a peak output of 750hp in rating 2. 

H4 Marine has been appointed UK marine distributors for Recoverit, a revolutionary new re-usable oil recovery system. The company will be demonstrating Recoverit at Seawork.

The Seaeye Falcon, built by Fareham, UK-based Seaeye Marine, is among the first portable ROVs designed to meet the requirements of inshore and coastal operations. To work in water depths to 300m, the Falcon’s chassis components must have high strength,  low part mass and corrosion resistance. Seaeye chose to use clevis joints with igubal  bearings from Seawork exhibitor, Igus UK.

As a measure to conserve the environment of the tidal River Thames and better serve the PLA’s Upper District river users, the Port of London Authority has signed a contract with Seawork exhibitor Ecocats Ltd of Torpoint to provide two Javelin 31 low-wash, patrol launches. City Marine & Hazardous is a new division of City Electrical Factors. The company specialise in the supply of electrical equipment from all manufacturers for the Marine and Hazardous area industries and can supply a vast range of spares and equipment, including general and safety equipment for a number of vessel sizes, pyrotechnics and life saving equipment.

Seawork has commissioned a wireless internet facility for the duration of the show.
