DMA at Seawork 2006

The DMA (Defence Manufacturers Association) stand at Seawork 2006 will make Ministry of Defence procurement experts available to meet companies who wish to enter into business with the MoD.

The role of the DMA is to help UK industry develop business in the defence and public security sectors. It works closely with the MoD and national security forces including the Police, to develop both the UK and export markets. The particular areas to be covered at Seawork include boats and boat servicing/maintenance, boat engines and relevant marine equipment, and life saving at sea.

A representative from the Defence Export Sales Organisation (DESO) will be on the stand to help UK companies trying to develop export potential in these areas. The DMA is also the principal sponsor for the EEZ Industry Group (EEZING), which works closely with the DESO and UK T&I, gaining valuable information from Embassies and High Commissions overseas. The EEZING will also be at the DMA stand to talk to UK companies who have products and services in this hugely developing business, covering command, communications and control, above and below water surveillance, and policing vessels and capabilities relating to patrol and enforcement.
