Dive into history

Searchwise Ltd are supplying a brand new Dive Tank which will be situated on the quayside at Seawork 2006. It will contain underwater cameras so that demonstrations can be transmitted onto a screen on the ADC stand throughout the duration of the event.

Sub Surface  Engineering and Osiris Marine Services are both providing dive teams and the Historical Diving Society will be diving in standard hard diving dress on Wednesday 14 June.

A display of diving equipment and photographs of historical interest will also be on show. The Historical Diving Society was  founded in 1990 to research and increase awareness of the country’s rich diving history and heritage. Find out more at www.thehds.com.

New for 2006 is the ADC DiveWork Cup. This will be awarded to the winner of the DiveWork  Commercial Diver Time Trial which will take the form of a series of  underwater tasks to be completed in full view of  the assembled audience.

The cup will be presented to the fastest diver in a ceremony to take place before the event closes. It will be accompanied by a huge amount of promotion and publicity within all of the relevant media. Are you up for the challenge? If so, contact Roger O’kane on rokane@dircon.co.uk.
