The Sound is extremely tidal with strong currents causing overfalls. The site was considered unsafe for divers. Instead, one of the AquaSpection fleet of Micro ROV Systems was employed.

The high quality footage shows the general contours of the proposed sites are all clear of obstructions. Upon completion, the operator and equipment were flown back that night, the work having been carried out safely with no risk and minimal costs to the employer Robert Gordon University Aberdeen.
