    Reflecting the growing status of Seawork, Damen will be returning in 2005 with a bigger presence. In addition to a larger stand in the exhibition hall, the Dutch company will bring a new build to the pontoons – a 24m x 9m 2609 Shoalbuster tug for Jersey Harbours to replace the Duke of Normandy.

  • Seawork Nets Major Fishing Titles

    Seawork2005 International will be of particular interest to the commercial fishing industry. New arrangements between Seawork and two key fishing magazines, Fishing News International and Irish Skipper, will ensure a sharp increase in the number of visitors.

    Lochin Marine, supporters of Seawork since 1998, exhibited a Lochin 366 Pilot Boat in 2004, in partnership with Goodchild Marine. “It reinforced our credentials on the commercial scene and put us firmly back on the tender list,” says Simon Thomas. “Cattewater Harbour Commissioners are delighted with her all-weather capability.”

    Unst Inshore Rescue will be first time exhibitors at Seawork2005 International, introducing the Fluggaboat – an entirely new aluminiumhull RIB, built in their Shetland facility.

    Twin UltraJet 305 waterjets have been specified to propel the first of a series of four 32ft (9.8m) harbour patrol vessels for the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND). The contract was awarded to ABCO Industries of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.

  • Smooth Movement from Cleemann

    A key development from Cleemann Chair-Systems GmbH is a sliding-device for pilot chairs, offering the flexibility required by pilots particularly for ‘one-man-bridge’ cockpit style wheelhouses. 

  • Dredge Machine Makes Debut

    Wave Seven Marine, which specialises in the supply of innovative marina equipment, will be promoting the US-built Versi-Dredge transportable dredge machine at Seawork for the first time. Powered by a rugged John Deere diesel engine, Versi-Dredge is already in use world wide in marinas, canals, rivers and ponds.

    Building as always on what has gone before, the eighth annual Seawork Exhibition and Conference again crests the horizon, sailing towards landfall in the ABP Port of Southampton on 14-16 June at the Canary Islands Fruit Terminal.
