World’s Marine Press Visit seawork
01 Sep 2004
The itinerary of the four day Inward Mission, organised by the British Marine Federation, included an afternoon at the exhibition. Gary Dickson of SeaSpray magazine, New Zealand, commented: ‘I’ve been struck by the large number of stands and the huge number of visitors.’ One of his colleagues, Jonas Ekblad of Sweden’s cruising magazine Pa-Kryss, was also impressed with Seawork2004: ‘I was down to visit Lewmar this afternoon but, once I saw the extent of this exhibition, I decided to cancel that and stay here.’
The fact that the BMF decided to include Seawork2004 on the itinerary, together with the reaction of the foreign journalists, are a solid testament to the fact that Seawork is now an exhibition of international importance and relevance.
For UK-based companies exhibiting at the event, it is an extremely cost effective way of making export sales without leaving the country.
In recognition of the fact that Seawork has grown to international stature, it has been re-branded Seawork International.
