What the exhibitors say

Quotes from exhibitors

  • ‘So Impressed, I Bought the Company’

Well, half of it! Those were the sentiments of Ben Plummer, now 50% owner of BW SeaCat, recently re-located to larger premises in Millbrook.

  • Seawork2004 ...What the exhibitors said

Steve Curtis, five times World Power Boat Champion: ‘I think Seawork is the best show for people actually buying stuff. I go to all the shows, London, Southampton, but I come here because the people who come here are real buyers. It’s a proper working show.’

  • Annual Event premières New Products

A significant number of Seawork2004 exhibitors selected the event to première new products. Among them was Scania (Great Britain) Ltd. Unveiling Scania’s new 12 litre engine on the quayside, Senior Vice President and Head of Industrial and Marine Engines at Scania, Lennart Hjelte commented: ‘We started planning the launch of our new engine around Seawork about two years ago. It’s the natural place for us to unveil it because the UK is a very important market for our commercial engines and our UK customers are all here.’

  • Ali-it’s Latest Cat Launch

Seawork2004 was again another successful show  for Ali-it Marine Ltd. The company has gone from strength to strength since its start up and first Seawork exhibition three years ago.

  • World’s Marine Press Visit seawork

On Tuesday 22 June, a delegation of journalists from USA, Australia, New Zealand, Scandinavia, Russia, Poland, Turkey and Europe arrived by boat in a ‘sea of red’ – thanks to their uniform of red jackets.

  • Future in Innovation

A record 53 entries were displayed in the Innovations Showcase, an initiative created by Seawork to help companies introduce and promote products, vessels, services or projects to their key commercial audience and publicly reward the very best in innovation.

  • Gala Dinner Success for RNLI

The Seawork2004 International/ZF Marine Gala Dinner was a huge success. St Mary’s Stadium was, once again, filled to capacity with more than 500 Seawork exhibitors and their guests coming together for a relaxed evening of entertainment and networking opportunities. A collection on behalf of the RNLI raised almost £1500. Regional Manager Sally Hilton sent this letter of thanks...

  • Seawork Sets New Records

Record numbers of visitors and exhibitors attended seawork2004 including those from the USA, Australasia, the Middle East, North Africa and Europe. Despite June’s unseasonable gale force winds and rain, this was a clear demonstration that the commercial maritime exhibition and conference held in the Port of Southampton is strengthening its position in the world market.
