Seawork2004 ...What the exhibitors said
01 Sep 2004
Steve Curtis, five times World Power Boat Champion: ‘I think Seawork is the best show for people actually buying stuff. I go to all the shows, London, Southampton, but I come here because the people who come here are real buyers. It’s a proper working show.’
Stuart Cameron, Gael Force, Inverness: ‘For us it’s a long trip to the show but the quality of the visitors is excellent. For us canny Scots, it’s not numbers that count, but potential.’
Peter Nelmes, ZF Marine: ‘This show’s always good. It’s a shop window for the commercial industry. This is the show where decisions are made. We’ve re-booked sponsorship of the Gala Dinner again for next year because it’s exceptionally good for gaining exposure and brand awareness.’
Dave Bakin, Sea Rover Boats: ‘Even the weather couldn’t dampen our sales achievements. We’ve had nearly 50 enquiries, met potential customers from 9 countries around the world and expect confirmed sales to total 22 units during the next few weeks.’
Trevor Banting, Pepe Boats: We were looking for a show to present our new CatFish aluminium cat and Seawork was the only show which gave a dedicated audience. I’d rather have 10 seawork visitors than 50 at Southampton Boat Show.’
Jeremy Dale, Seasafe Systems: ‘Excellent show; bigger and better with more of the right kinds of people. On Wednesday, we were so busy we didn’t get a cup of tea ’til 3pm and then we couldn’t drink it ’til 4pm. We’ve got some good leads and orders from new and existing customers.’
Terry Quinn of Jeanneau: ‘So successful we’ve booked the same site for next year but twice the size!’
